Technology leaders and community members unite to accelerate cancer research; Minnesota CIO Auction announced for 2026

St. Paul, MN — Renodis, a leading provider of telecom and utility solutions and Corporate Organizer of CIOs Against Cancer, co-founded by Renodis CEO Craig Beason, is proud to celebrate the remarkable success of two recent fundraising events that brought together technology leaders and community advocates to support the fight against cancer. The Michigan CIO Auction and the TechSHEroes Against Cancer “She Leads with Intention” event collectively raised more than $277,000 for the American Cancer Society.

The CIO Auction Michigan, a signature initiative that connects technology executives with supporters through one-on-one lunch experiences, raised more than $134,000. CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, and senior technology leaders generously donated their time and leadership by offering lunches and conversations to the highest bidders, turning meaningful connections into impactful fundraising.

“We’re incredibly grateful to the technology leaders who donated their time and the bidders who participated with such enthusiasm,” said Craig Beason, CEO of Renodis and co-founder of CIOs Against Cancer. “This virtual event is a powerful reminder that when leaders come together with purpose, the impact can be extraordinary. These conversations help build relationships while also advancing the mission to end cancer as we know it.”

In addition, the TechSHEroes “She Leads with Intention” event raised more than $143,000 during an inspiring day filled with storytelling, leadership, and community support. The sold-out event brought together professionals from across the technology and business communities, creating a space where women leaders shared their journeys and inspired attendees to lead with authenticity and purpose.

Speakers Kelli Williams, Stephanie Hansen, Rachel Whitcomb, and Jacquelyn Fletcher Johnson, MFA delivered powerful and authentic stories that resonated deeply with the audience. The event’s momentum and energy were guided by emcee Miss Shannan Paul, helping create an atmosphere of generosity, inspiration, and connection.

“The energy and authenticity in the room were truly inspiring,” said Beason. “When leaders openly share their journeys and support one another, it not only strengthens our community but also drives meaningful progress in the fight against cancer.”

Proceeds from both events support the American Cancer Society and its mission to fund cancer research, improve patient support, and accelerate breakthroughs that save lives. These efforts also contribute to CIOs Against Cancer’s ambitious goal of raising $1.25 million in 2026, further amplifying the impact of the technology community in the fight against cancer.

Building on this momentum, Renodis and CIOs Against Cancer are preparing for the Minnesota CIO Auction, on May 7th at the Fillmore, which will bring technology executives and supporters together once again to raise funds for cancer research. The upcoming event continues the organization’s mission of harnessing the power of the technology community to drive meaningful change.

“Every year we see more leaders stepping forward to contribute their time and influence,” said Beason. “The Minnesota CIO Auction is another opportunity for our community to come together and make a difference as we work toward our $1.25 million goal.”

Renodis remains committed to supporting initiatives that unite technology leaders for a greater purpose, helping drive both innovation and impact in the communities they serve.
